The Michael, Ryan & Cara Adventures

Meet the Adventurers

There's more than one way to be an adventurer.

Michael, Ryan and Cara™ are the friends at the heart of Éire’s Treasure Trove. One solves problems, one runs towards every new discovery, and one can't stop asking questions. Together, they show that adventure isn't about being fearless or getting everything right. It's about being curious enough to explore and brave enough to begin.

They first set off together in The Great Boat Escape, and you'll find them across our books, cards, stationery and gifts.

The Curious Explorer

Cara™

A young penguin explorer who leads with curiosity.

Cara asks questions, notices details, follows maps and fills his notebook with ideas worth exploring. In The Great Boat Escape, he's the magical penguin dreaming of the open sea.

Cara isn't fearless, and he doesn't need to be. His curiosity is what helps him explore, try and keep going when something is unfamiliar or doesn't work the first time. Kind, observant and endlessly optimistic, he encourages everyone around him to discover something new.

The Problem-Solver

Michael

Quietly confident, practical and always ready to help.

When an adventure throws up a challenge, Michael doesn't wait for someone else to sort it out. He takes a look at what's happening, works out something useful to do and helps move the group forward.

Observant, resourceful and dependable, Michael is the steadying presence alongside Ryan and Cara: the friend you want beside you when the plan stops going to plan.

The Fast Runner

Ryan

Full of energy, enthusiasm and forward momentum.

Ryan is the fastest runner in the group, and usually the first to race towards whatever's waiting around the next corner. He brings speed, joy and quick action to every adventure.

Bright, curious and always on the move, Ryan is proof that sometimes the best way to find out what's out there is to go and see.
